Obviously OP is just covering his ass so he doesn't get ratted out. Nobody can possibly be lame enough to grow non-psychedellic mushrooms himself, right? Right?

It took about 2 months total to grow. 2 of my 6 jars ended up getting infected with some sort of bacteria and had to be destroyed. The rest turned out great - nice, fresh, plump mushrooms. They were excellent and much better than anything I have ever bought.

It's a fair bit of research and work to set up, but beyond that it's mostly waiting.

shroomery is the greatest resource out there. you dont need to pay for expensive [censored] like the mycodome just do the research and do it all yourself, much more rewarding. Youd be much better off spending some of that money on a good pressure cooker - the most important tool in growing your own legal mushrooms.

Was it good enough to keep doing, or was it more like a thing you liked doing once just to see what it was like, but that's all it was worth?

I am the same way with all of my hobbies. I learn everything I can about it, do it for a bit and then get bored. It was definitely a great and fun learning experience for me, but I'm probably not going to do it again. It's a wonderful feeling when all your research and setup pays off and your little baby spores start growing up into big mushrooms.
