Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (4/18) (5-5 NL)
[ QUOTE ]
Obviously not Bart, but I think part of the reason why you shouldn't look to see 6-man tables live -- at least with any semblance of regularity -- is that the house needs to make X dollars per table per hour in order to make the obscene profit that they are accustomed to making. I'd love it ... but I don't see it happening. [/ QUOTE ] I see, good point. And you should really give 6-max a shot Bart. One warning: 6-max Variance is krazy. Ways to improve your table image: 1. Order a drink. 2. Ask your neighbor if you can order him a drink so that you can get around the 1-drink/player rule. [/ QUOTE ] NH...Also, you could ask the dealer what they would like to drink. If you are looking for great action to come your way simply dress correctly. I find that knee length shorts, non matching shirt, big thick glasses, and calf high white socks with sandals do wonders for creating a very nice image. |

While they were talking about AT/J7, I openraised J7 suited on the button and flopped top and bottom two pair and stacked the BB. J7 > AT

Naw,
Palm Trees are overkill...however, if you can find a nice John Deere hat, that would work. |

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (4/18) (5-5 NL)
What I was asking before was essentially, do you want to have a good or bad image at first. I suppose having a bad table image at first, maybe raising the first 3 or 4 hands would really loosen the table up and make you seem more like a fish. From there you could slow it down a bit and take advantage of a crappy image.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (4/18) (5-5 NL)
Things not to do:
Sit down. Pull out your massive binder that reads: POKER WINNINGS - 2006 Flip to the appropriate page. Pull out your rule and draw a sharp line across the graph paper. Ask your neighbor for the date AND the time -- if the time he gives you is an approximate time (i.e. "it's about half-past eight...") reply, "EXACT time, buddy, I need to calculate my precise winrate here!" Write down every single hand that you do anything. Copious notes = fun table. Ask everyone if they can take a little less time to make decisions: "C'mon, fellas, I'm expecting to earn 2.2 BB/hour but at this rate, I'm gonna fall .3 short." Make sure to use jargon as much as possible. If someone doesn't know the action, reply, "I min-raised You-Tee-Gee and the cut-off cold-called." |
