Don't understand the pimp spot for bucky for that song, they must really want Ace out, probably going to get their wish. Taylor totally overshadowed by the band in what should have been a good song choice. Kat worst song choice ever IMO. Good nights for Kellie & Chris, chris is really starting to live up to his price I think (and he somehow dropped 3 points tonight).

I'm out on the West Coast as well, but will probably give comments after it airs here. From what I can tell, it looks like Paris may be a good short-term play, down at 4-6. Kellie's begun her climb, and should continue rising as the weeks go by and she does not end up in the bottom 3, while other more "favored" contestants do.

Yuck...the last 2 weeks have been horrific, looking at it from an overall perspective. Both weeks had a couple decent performances, but a majority of these people are sucking it up. Hope it gets better.

Agreed. Another exceptionally blah week. Chris was the closest to a decent performance and really did himself a favor by showing a slightly different side to himself.

Kellie and Bucky were just ok in what should have been a great week for them. The rest of the field could have stayed home and mailed it in - just awful.

Agreed that this was 2 bad weeks in a row. If next week is really songs from Queen, the streak will run to 3. I like Taylor's voice, and have been pulling for him, but he isn't good at song selection. I think this week will be an interesting test to see how big his fan base really is. Being 1st up on the night and giving a poor or mediocre performance is really playing with fire on Idol. Almost a sure recipe for bottom 3. Will be a good sign for him if he isn't.

Most of the contestants have no clue how to pick a song that they will perform well. That has just killed the last 2 weeks. I think Pickler actually is the exception (maybe Chris also) and by and large makes good choices. With so many blah performances it will be really interesting to see the bottom 3, and as a result, who likely doesn't have the fans to go deep. Chris may be overvalued, but he is distancing himself from the field. I have a hard time seeing the winner not being Chris, Taylor or Kellie. Katherine is talented, but doesn't have the votes. Really overvalued right now.

You know it's a crappy show when Ace was one of the better ones.

Bottom 3 is anyone's guess. Kellie and Chris are the only 2 who are absolutely safe this week, although I'd be shocked to see Taylor in the bottom 3. But even Taylor was not good tonight.
