I work at a TV station and love it. Dont expect great pay and DO expect crappy hours. But its pretty easy, always different and there are some perks...today I got to meet Joe Montana. I also met Davey Jones. Im not sure which is more impressive.

keytar player and it's not even close!

In a life where I go back and try and school I would like to either get into sports radio, as getting paid to yammer about what I yammer about anyway would be cool and/or zoology, 'cause animals are awesome.

I'm a mystery shopper. I get paid to go and buy things (get to keep what i buy, and i don't have to pay for it) and see how well they serve me.

Occasionally i also get to wear a hidden camera.

Edit: I also roadie for bands occasionally, get paid to carry the odd bit of equipment but generally hang around with famous folk and get to wear VIP access all areas passes a lot.

My friend had a job once were he monitored satalites, basically he god paid decent money to sit in a room at night alone and do absoultely nothing, except make a phone call if something totally whacked out happened, which never did. He used to go there and sleep, or wed go there and get drunk.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've got pretty much the same job. Instead of getting drunk I just take 24h shifts and play p*ker. During the 24h I have to work for about 10 minutes.

Although he lost it recently, my friend worked in a beer distributor, getting paid off the books a very handsome wage for a 19yo (12/hr). He set his own hours, sat around for 3/4 of the day and watched porn, and never had to pay for food while he was there. No matter what he does with his life, he will never find a job better than this.

I worked for Sam Adams as an Acct Mgr. Basically I drove around to whatever bar or restaurant I felt like and tried to either A. sell in draught lines or new bottle placements or B. throw parties there. Setup happy hours, free tastings of whatever new product we had (Twisted Tea). We'd give away T-Shirts or whatever random crap we were shipped. We were paid to boss around distributor sales guys and bribe them to sell our products over others on their daily routes.

We were FORCED to eat lunch and dinner everyday at some store we do business at (Fridays, Outback, local Irish Pub etc.) We were FORCED to go out at night and basically sit at bars and drink and schmooz with customers. Everything above was just expensed. We were FORCED to take clients to sporting events and setup contests for franchises. Fri + Sat nite I was allowed to go wherever I wanted and basically have an open bar for me and all my friends as long as we drank Sam Adams or Sam Adams products unless we chose to drink hard stuff, and that was free anyway.

Car was paid for, cell phone, every bill imagineable. Absolute great gig for anyone 21-25, single, and if you could keep up with the requirements on top of making 45K a yr excluding all the fringe benefits.
