Default Re: QQ against known 2+2 player - non-standard ? line

I would push a lot of draws on turn, thus I would push a set...not sure how OP would play a lot of different hands on turn...if he would only push a set then obviously don't push...depends on a lot of factors...I'm not sure why JJ would effectively bluff for $460 on the river in this particular hand. A lot of this hand is read dependent and based on the experiences the two guys in the hand have had with each other...I have no idea how they play in general or versus each other specifically...I do see all your points though...now calm down. [ QUOTE ]
Why? Once he flat calls the flop, why wouldn't he flat call the turn? PFR is going balls to the walls, so why try to slow him down? The whole point of rope-a-dope is letting him keep the initiative. Pushing the turn goes completely against the intuition behind the flop flat call. And if you flat call the turn and the river totally blanks you can get the awesome ace high call when you push with your "missed straight draw".

[/ QUOTE ]

This is mostly what I tought in the hand, if I push the turn, there are a lot of hands that I lost who could have paid me on the river.

Oh, I'm calm. When I got uncalm I start YELLING. And I see your points, too. I think pushing turn would have been fine. But once I get to the river like this, I'm definitely calling.

I dont try to push people off their hands a lot on the turn usually, maybe I should do it more. As with a set, I will sometimes play it exactly like this hands, and some of the time I will raise it the flop.

This vs Acehistation?

I'd probably push turn. River is gross, since he might play Ax hands this way.

How the hell did you know it was me? Anyways, I owe Raven one as he chimed in on one of my threads a few weeks back.

I played this hand and read Raven for a pair, but didn't realize how high. I was in my super-aggressor mode and if noone has guessed it already...

Dealt to AceHiStation [ As Ks ]

I wanted this overbet to look like a desperation bluff trying to represent the ace, but I think I just represented the ace.

-Ace

Nice, I tought there was a good chance you catched your double barrel Ace on the river. I would have called most other rivers. I was in doubt because the Ace was a good scare card to continue your bluff on also. Nice river bet.

thanks
