Re: Folding TK on the button on the bubble
I don't know many other tournaments that pay out that many spots.

Re: Folding TK on the button on the bubble
[ QUOTE ]
I dont have much satellite experience but I'd say minraise, call a SB push fold to a BB push. BB shouldn't be playing back at you without a big hand, SB might, even if he has a monster you have great odds to call. I think minraising>pushing>folding [/ QUOTE ] heeeeeeey somebody agrees with me. |

Re: Folding TK on the button on the bubble
This is assuming he has played tight and seems to want to sneak into the money. If you think that he's willing to gamble with A9 or 88 then I probably just push.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t2000 (9 handed) converter SB (t7915) BB (t15610) UTG (t10100) UTG+1 (t6657) MP1 (t12636) MP2 (t16295) MP3 (t15125) CO (t33580) Hero (t21310) Preflop: Hero is Button with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 6 folds, Hero folds. 60 players remain, top 47 gets same payout. t4000 worth of blinds and antees to steal. Thoughts? I'm thinking I can probably slide into the money and don't need to take risks, whereas BB just might be willing to take a gamble with a stronger hand, but certainly not a weaker one. If I lose this I'm crippled and seriously risk busting out shortly after. [/ QUOTE ] You posted a hand like this before with "x places play the same". Just call it a supersatellite and people will understand. you get a lot of confused responses with that description. These posts are silly from my point of view. If you like playing big stack bully in a supersatellite, fine. But we can't really analyze them for a $EV point of view, except to say FOLD. I fold AA here. |

Re: Folding TK on the button on the bubble
I agree with folding K10 here if it's a sat.
you fold AA here?? Are you saying it's going to be that easy to coast while 13 players get knocked out? |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeh, OP is the 2nd biggest stack at the table. I think he can just fold his way in. I might play AA, but I am definately folding AK or JJ in late position. |

Re: Folding TK on the button on the bubble
Raise PF.
If you eyeball it the avg stack at the bubble will have ~28K. My guess is you are about 40 minutes away from the bubble at which point the blinds will be 4k/8k. You will have to post the antes and blinds for at least 27 hands at an avg of 3k/6k, or ~18K. => you must play. |

If you get down to a shorter stack, then you can worry about playing marginal hands. It's not like KTo is a monster. |
