Couple of questions:

1) Allofmp3.com & allofmp3s.com are different sites - is either of them legit?

2) Even if they are of questionable legality, how does this affect the end user? E.g. does using one of these sites which operate through "legal loopholes" stop the risk of a hefty fine from the RIAA?

Oh I see. It's not whether you are doing something wrong. It's whether or not you get caught. Have a spectacular day.

they look like completely different sites.

it's doubtful you would be procecuted for using these services, although some people may randomly made example of. who knows.

allofmp3.com operates from Russia, where apparently it is legal.

FYI
The problem with itunes is that you can only download stuff at 128kbps bitrate. You can hear the poor audio quality in many songs (the high frequencies blow).

EDIT: I'd rather buy the cd off amazon or something and rip at a higher bitrate.

FWIW I may well agree with you WRT intellectual property, although it is obviously a complex issue - both legally and philisophically. My question was somewhat academic, but interesting nonetheless.

Do grow up.

No not a complex issue at all. You are either stealing from artists or you are not. No complexity whatsoever. How about if you made your living doing something artistic, and you were getting ripped off blind, would it be ok for me to tell you to "Do grow up"? How about if you couldn't feed your children? Would that change your thinking?

I can't believe you just made fun of him for screwing up a link. It's like watching two retarded kids argue.

I guess it's a good thing that I couldn't give a rotting infested infected aromatic rat's ass what you think. Have a super day.

Aromatic?

P.S. You seem like a world-class douchebag.

OK if it's not a complex issue, Mr. Intellectual Property Expert, then please explain to me the legality of said russian sites, the loopholes they operate through, and the rights of their end users as defined by US and/or international law.

Anyone with any knowledge of the field - on both sides - will actually assert that it is, indeed, a complex issue.

I'm not the first person in this thread to suggest you are acting in an immature way. You might want to cosider why this might be the case.

Thank you. Have a rockin' day. Oh and for those that seem a bit impaired ...

Aromatic:
1 : of, relating to, or having aroma : a : FRAGRANT b : having a strong smell c : having a distinctive quality

As in stinking rotting rat's ass. Oh and by the way, how did you prepare that for dinner last night?

Again, have a rockin' day.
