This development has exciting implications! I'm still in.

RE: Hotels, I linked to a couple of options in the last thread. If it's in this area and reasonably priced, it's going to be somewhere between kinda sketchy and a place where hookers bring their johns. Anybody coming in from out of town, if you find a hotel and are wondering about it, post here or PM me and I'll tell you what I think.

Fluff, the hotels at Universal are pretty nice and I don't think are insanely expensive. The cab ride to the bar we're going to won't be THAT bad, but it's not exactly around the corner.

I've said it before, I'll say it again.

Least... balla... 2p2 get-together... ever.

I'll check my Entertainment Book to see if I have some kind of 2-1 special at Cat & Fiddle. That thing is a Godsend.

Suzzer,

At least none of us are going to drop 40g's in a stripclub and not get laid on Friday.

Los,

Your links in the other thread didn't work. Please list the names when you get a chance.

I do have a bunch of trip rewards that I can use for a free room. I may just get that Ramada in West Hollywood, any info on that?

I'm so not going to know who people are. I have like no clue what people look like, and only remember people online from their avatar. I think everyone should be required to wear a sticker with their avatar so I know who you are.

WOW way to not even include the D.C. Happy Hour in that...I think you meant
D.C. Happy Hour >> LA happy hour >>>>>>>>> ATL HH.

[/ QUOTE ]

WHOA fluffpop I think you must be forgetting that DC Happy Hour was so great because I was there obv, and I will also be at ATL HH, therefore it's more like DC = ATL >>>>>>>>>>> LA.

Hotels:

The Hollywood Downtowner - Orbitz has is at $109/night. Most assuredly very sketchy, but looks amusingly strange.

Saharan Motor Hotel - One of my business partner's cousins died at at this hotel. Also a burnout I went to high school with lived here for like three months. Extremely close to the bar we're going to. Orbitz says $113/night.

Ramada West Hollywood - I don't know anything specific about it, but it's certainly better than the above two places. Orbitz says $169.

Holiday Inn Walk of Fame - Looks OK @ $179/night.

Hyatt West Hollywood - $255/night. Right on Sunset Strip if you plan on doing some clubbing, etc.

Kinda looks like if you spend less than $150/night you should be prepared for anything. It doesn't look like there are rooms at the "cool" hotels I would've recommended, like the Chateau Marmont, Hollywood Standard, Hollywood Roosevelt, etc. But they might be worth checking, and will also be expensive.

Looking at the websites of these two places, I think I would have the best trip report of anyone at the Happy Hour.

The Ramada has some pretty cool looking suites :

They're $225 though or $300 with a wet bar.

Damn I'm so close (see Location LDO)!!! But I'm stuck on campus w/o a car, plus I'm only 19 and don't have a fake, so I think I'm out of luck. But if anyone wants to stop by and check out the hotties on campus (fluffpop is barely a 4/10, amirite?), hit me up.
