3bet preflop almost 100% of the time that you feel your hand beats an openers range, or is 45-50% vs it

[/ QUOTE ]He opens 4BB you 3bet to 12BB; you have just invested 12BB to win a pot of 5.5BB, it has to work (as in he folds preflop or you win postflop) 68% of the time, right?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, but they fold a lot of better hands. And they call and fold a lot of better hands on the flop. And you out flop them and stack them a lot.

don't bet flop and c/f turn ever

[/ QUOTE ]That is a big leak of mine. I'd lead with a FD in a multiway pot to take it down and to disguise it and then give up on the turn when it gets potted.

[/ QUOTE ]

um, just so we are clear, i mean to say there are certain situations where you should never bet the flop AND checkfold the turn, an example being vs a decent player on a Q44 board. In that spot you either check fold, or you bet and bet again. Obviously in general you should be giving up on the turn a lot when called on the flop.

My stats are 15/10 with a went to SD 20% and won at SD 50% if I run normal.

I think Renton's PFR is a bit higher.

Renton, you play a very similar game as mine. This spot with Q44, don't you think it's a little dry of a flop to double barrel? Or do you believe people are more likely to call a c-bet with JJ and under on Q high board versus K high board?

people will call for value with most pocket pairs, and well often float small pairs and Ax

renton -

what are your WTS% and W$SD% ? I'm curious because I play similarly to you pf and was curious if those numbers were also similar.

if you don't feel like saying, no problem.

[/ QUOTE ]

these numbers are pretty useless, but 21.3 and 52.5

Three betting hands that aren't always a 50% favorite vs their call has everything to do with being able to take a hand down with a flop bet,

...and protecting your big pairs.

...and projecting an aggressive image.

...and putting people on tilt.
