itz, that is a weakened Brazil squad, but nice result anyways. I would like to see either Mexico or the US have a nice run there.

weak Brazil? Man, there are enough good players in Brazil to have 3 elite teams.

You know Mexico didn't play with Osorio, Pardo, Salcido, Guardado and Borgetti right?

I had computer problems when I came home after watching the game with some friends yesterday so I couldn't write anything. The game started off with Brazil scoring a goal that was called offsides that really should have been a goal. I think the linesman just missed a Mexican player that was lagging behind and made the mistake of not pushing up. That could have changed the tempo and direction of the game. But pretty much afterwards Mexico seemed to dictate play for the rest of the game. They played superb. Castillo's goal was set of excellent touches. Try to see a highlight of it. The second goal was just a well placed free kick. In the 2nd half Brazil had a few great chances but the Mexican goalkeeper played outstanding. In the end of the match Mexico had some really great scoring opportunities that they botched and the game could have easily been 4-0. Castillo missed a wide open goal on a breakaway that if they weren't already up 2-0 would have been unforgivable.

I only saw highlights of the Chile-Ecuador game but it looked exciting and I'm sad I missed it. Congrats Val!

Now tonight sigh... I'm on the eve of people breaking my balls for the next few days. I'm really looking forward to seeing both sides play though. Should be fun.

Okay, Argentina ties it up 1-1 on a scramble in front of the net after a free kick chip.

hahahaha 3 guys get behind the D for the tap in. US D is atrocious like last week, and every major game over past 17 years save 1 or 2.
