[ QUOTE ] West - Texas Rangers i have been wondering how on gods earth you have them to win the division and i come up with two possibilities: [/ QUOTE ] 1) you are huffing spray paint 2) it keeps the red sox out of the playoffs 3) oakland a's team plane crashes 4) la angels team plane crashes 5) seatle mariners team plane crashes [/ QUOTE ] why not bunch 3-5 together into a massive west coast earthquake? [ QUOTE ]
The reason I pick the RedSox (other than the obvious) is that they are a bit younger (less injury risk imo) and have more depth/wiggle room for midseason adjustments. [/ QUOTE ] A bit? Avg age of Yankees: 30.9 Red Sox: 30.1 Here is where a team breaks down: Pitching staffs Yankees: 31.3 Red Sox: 29.7 Red Sox w/o David Wells: 29.1 That's a fair amount. |

They have a young explosive offense that seems to work in that park (865 total runs last year, 3rd in AL behind NYY & BOS), and finally have some resemblance of pitching with Eaton, Millwood, and Padilla. It's probably not enough to overcome the As and Halos, but it would be a hell of a story if it happened, and plus I could rub it in your faces come October |
