That happened before I even knew what a gutshot was, let alone 2+2. My first year teaching, a girl emailed me near the end of the semester, after she had seen her grade posted online as a C+. It was actually right in between a C+ and B-, and I was going to round it up when I submitted semester grades since she had perfect attendance, which was my stated policy with borderline grades.

So, she emails me saying something to the effect of... (and I just looked through my old emails but don't have it anymore - beat) "Hi Professor, I just saw my grade and I think I REALLY deserve a B in your class. I would be happy to show you why in person. Call me on my cell phone: ###-###-#### and let's meet up"

I was a new instructor and wasn't sure how I should interpret that, so I asked some grad students who had more experience teaching, and they said definitely she was implying something more than a usual prof-student relationship, or however you want to say it.

I emailed the girl back and just said "don't worry about it - I was already going to round up your points since you had perfect attendance, so you'll get a B-"

Yes, she was decent-looking. Body/face would be a 7/8.

No, I don't have a picture of her.

No, I did not ever follow up on her request. I had a girlfriend & ethics.

I'm not surprised you didn't follow through (who wants to get fired and /or become unemployable). What I find surprising is that she is willing to whore herself out just to get a C+ raised t a B-. I figured it would be some chick who only showed up to 2 classes, skipped all the tests and now wanted a passing score.

BTW, in the future I would advise you to save emails like that along with any replies in case the girl is bat[censored] crazy and decides to make false accusations.

Thanks 4 2. I did actually save the email, for that reason and just to prove to skeptic friends that it actually happened, but my school email account switched and I didn't forward it to my new mailbox.
