why aren't we 4 betting the flop? Seems like this is a good spot for it.

I decided to bet the turn card.

Villain in this hand has taken a couple of bad beats and is obviously tilting badly. He's spewing chips doing things like 3-betting an EP open raise with 97o. Anyway, he clearly does not like me, partly because I keep chatting with another 2+2er who is at my table, and seems to want to "get revenge" on the game.

I'm UTG+1 with KQ and I raise.

Folds around to villain who 3-bets from the CO. Folded back to me, and I call.

Flop:

K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check, he bets, I raise, he goes to 3-town, I call.

Turn:

T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Hero bets, villain calls (shock-horror, right?).

River:

2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Hero bets, villain raises, Hero???

I would call preflop, I like the check raise on the flop and without any reads about his post flop play I would just call and bet out on the turn. I would call his raise on the river, he obviously has something at this point (two pair?) or it is just a last ditch effort to take you off the hand, but you can't respect the spewer. Call him down.

Calls. No value in raising really. I think some people when they are tilting will slow down when the flush draw hits the turn, because they don't want to get sucked out on again (in their mind). Then they'll gas the river when their safe card hits.

Anyway, folding is out of the question given the dynamics of the hand, so I'd just call.

I might have capped preflop. I almost certainly would've 4-bet the flop. But then again, I'm a grumpy, chip spewing, tilting Foxwoods 4/8 player. By the time he just calls that turn, I am feeling a bit of mild shock and horror. I would've expected someone in his mindset at this table to either continuation-spew here or fold unless he actually has a strong hand. If he does have me beat, I'm expecting a call as he smugly looks to trap me for an extra bet on the river. At this point I'm done pushing this guy and will check-call the river.

As played, hero calls.
