I don't know anything about Keno odds.

Why is an up/down push not a push?

[/ QUOTE ]

Because in the fine print, which you can't get to from the game console itself, the rules say the house wins a push. If you walked into a casino, WAS HANDED A COPY OF THE HOUSE RULES WHICH YOU IGNORED AND DIDN'T READ, played a hand of blackjack, and the house took your pushed bet, you'd be furious. But they just paid everybody here $1000 so noone seems to care.

I agree with the OP that Mansion's game setup is rather deceptive. I would not have a problem with displaying a star if a push resulted in the player getting his money back. As far as I know it is common practice for casino's to present a tie(non-loss) as a win. Here a push means he lost and the star suggests just the opposite.
Having said that it is the OP's responsibility to keep an eye on the amount of money in this account after each wager. Even if he does not catch the discrepancy after the first time or the first few times. Being watchful and attentive would have greatly reduced any damages.

Like I said, I was not handed a copy of the house rules. They were not obvious or easy to find from the Keno console.

I agree with you almost 100%. I agree that if an unscrupulous person did that to me, it wouldn't be worth my breath to try to get it back. However, I don't believe Mansion is unscrupulous. Additionally, for example, if the Nevada Gaming Commission was overlooking a game where the dealer was constantly shortpaying the player, the casino would be in a lot of trouble. So the assertion that it is the player's responsibility to watch the balance isn't totally accurate--There are many instances in which it is at least as much the casino's responsibility as it is the player's.

I'm not sure why you lost $5000. The free bet and bonus shouldn't have been that high...What happened there?

Yes, you were handed a copy of the house rules. They are on the website and it took me all of 20 seconds to find them. I feel for your loss of money and i agree that the software is sucky, but you keep making analogies to other situations where the person is being obviously cheated, when in fact you are not including the fact that you were given the rules and you failed to read them. Furthermore, when you signed up for the site, you clicked a box that said, "I confirm that I'm at least 18 years of age, not a Gibraltar national, and I have read, understand, and accept the MANSION Terms and Conditions."

Again, i ask you... would you play poker for the first time for $1000s of dollars without reading the rules of the game on the site?

So Gotmilk, you are ripping site who just gave out the greatest bonus in online history. You are insulting and degrading yourself because you didn't read the terms and conditions for one of the games you played in the Mansion casino?

Hey Gotmilk can you please Getbrains and stop being a whining wussie?

[/ QUOTE ]

If that were the case, then I would have found them. This is like having a copy of the rules under the table that you have to ask the manager for, because if you ask the dealer, he'd shrug and say he didn't know. I put reasonable effort in searching all over the Keno board. WHEN THE GAME SHOWED ME I WAS WINNING (like the previous poster mentioned, it is very common to display pushes as a win) I STOPPED WORRYING ABOUT IT. Please think about what you are saying. You are saying it is OK for a casino to depict one thing happening in their game, and have the result actually mean something else AS LONG AS THEY PUT IT IN THEIR RULES? That is patently absurd. You cannot compare it to poker, because in poker there is no results summary that shows you what happened. If I was somehow playing a poker game where the results summary showed that I was winning and I somehow, in that poker game, couldn't notice that I wasn't getting properly paid because I was playing on FAST MODE and trusting the house, then I would be angry.

Additionally, when I agreed to the terms and conditions, I was agreeing to the casino's terms and conditions; never the specific game rules. The game rules are a seperate issue from the T&C's, though I admit that once I play a game I agree to the rules of the game. That does not, however, make it OK behavior of a casino the create a deceptive game in order to trap customer's. They may be "within their legal right" to take my money, but that does not mean 2+2ers should stand by and watch and say it's ok. Like jman81 said, it should make them a casino to avoid. But I guess with everyone's pockets $1000 heavier, that could never happen.

Where in their T&C's does it say it is OK to display losing bets as a winner?

Here is video evidence. Were you guys on the OJ Jury that dismissed the bloody glove with DNA evidence? Geesh...
