Re: 55 hand...*shakes head* capped PF (not by me)
Fold preflop the first time, call the second time. c/f anything but a set or draw basically. c/r the set, c/c the draw. Maybe c/r a 643 type flop.

How about all overcards like TJQ? [/ QUOTE ] I don't think it is ever correct to continue with a flop like this. You could easily be drawing dead to a set of QQ's or JJ's and drawing almost dead to a made AK str8. |

[ QUOTE ]
ya im just saying a donk bet/3bet would be a much better value bet line followed by c/r the turn and then trapping them for 2 cold =p but its all the same [/ QUOTE ] Dude, a set of 5's with this kind of PF action is not a lock hand - and depending on the board, i.e. lots of broadway, it could be quite vulnerable. Look at HouseCalls post, it's good. When i flop a baby set in a HUGE pot, more often than not, I'm protecting my hand - not building the pot to infinity. |

Edit: Replace "more often than not" with "sometimes"

Re: 55 hand...*shakes head* capped PF (not by me)
I would have folded this preflop BTW.
Since you called... [ QUOTE ] How do you play a blank flop like 237? [/ QUOTE ] You can't really be aggressive here. You've got the 2 other players in the pot that are both representing strength, so there is a high probability that your PP is toast. [ QUOTE ] How do play a flopped set? [/ QUOTE ] Bet and raise. Now you can be aggressive, you'll get called. [ QUOTE ] How about all overcards like TJQ? [/ QUOTE ] Again, you are behind and should be looking to get out of the hand. |
