On a related note, anyone got a link to a map of the Rio, something like a floor plan?

There are signs everywhere. It's pretty much in the back corner furthest away from any entrance.

For those of us not living anywhere near Las Vegas, this is absolutely no help.

I'm just wondering if there's an actual map of some kind online somewhere.

When people ask me what advantages there are to being a woman in the poker world, I always say:

"There is never a line for the bathroom."

Last year they took the women's room away from us, but I was already long gone by that time.

I played Event #2 and was expecting the worst in the bathroom situation during breaks. It was not a problem. They staggered the breaks in two groups, and the porta-johns were outside, directly behind the poker room. It was not a long walk at all, and the porta-johns were nice ones, on wheels, with sinks, and you could flush the toilet with a foot lever. It was a bit tight, but you can't complain. No urinals, all individual stalls. But the lines were never THAT long. Always got in and out in 5 minutes.

I don't know but if you don't find out soo call the Rio and explain to them you're problem. Maybe they can suggest what entrance to go to... You can pass that on to your cabbie.

Bathrooms aren't a problem this year. They staggered breaks and added portable restrooms (the portables are clean and modern, multiple units that are only marginally less appealing than the permanent ones in the convention/casino area and noticably cleaner). These are located directly outside the Convention Center, roughly 25-50 yards from the tournament area. As a result, if there's a line, it's pretty modest. They also added a food tent instead of putting the food serving lines in the hallway; the food's better and cheaper than last year.

Hope this helps.

Edmond

Theres a huge red "no smoking" sign hanging right in the hallway(by the main bathroom), yet nobody at all seems to obey this. Kinda rude if you ask me, but I'm from NY where I'm used to no smoking indoors at all.
