Well, it'll certainly be worth a lot more than that when you finish.

Wow, $420,000 for a run down piece of [censored] apt in a hellhole like NYC. Congrats. After spending months fixing it up you'll still live in a dump.

Wana hear about the new house I built, $200,000 3800 sq ft, 5 bedroom 3 bath, big garage, nice neighborhood with good schools? Didn't think so. Why anyone would choose to live in NYC is beyond me.

Good luck.. BB

Big Bend,

Apartment in NY>>>>>House in Texas.

Regards,

PS. If he ever decides to move, after putting all that work into it, he'll get a lot more than 420k for it, so at worst he made a good investment.

Big Bend, Is it near Big Bend? If so, I'm really jealous.

After you finish, you should shop it just to see how much you could get for it, against how much the renovations cost you - just out of curiousity.

You know why people in NYC don't live in neighborhoods like yours? They don't want to live near [censored] like you.

If the size of the average american family keeps shrinking, why do the size of houses seem to keep growing? Im sure your house is quite nice and maybe you have or plan on having a large family. Personally, I would never need a house this big nor would I want all that extra sq footage to clean and heat/cool, especially with the rising energy prices and deregulated industry. Got to love American consumerism.

To the OP, looks really nice. The BR has a little too much blue for my tastes but the each their own. Nice job.

its funny because if he ever decides to sell his place he could buy 5 of the houses you built. by the way i live in texas and your $200k 5 bedroom house is probably a piece of [censored] since it costs so little and it is probably a piece of [censored] hud home that everyone else on the block has. get a grip loser.

wowowowowow... and I thought 200k for a 2/2 in Miami was expensive.

Don't pay attention to the those crapping on you though. At best you found a place you wanted and it will look great when you finish. At worst you'll sell it for more than you bought + put into it. win/win.
