[/ QUOTE ] i feel like the advice in this forum i give is often contradictary to the rest of you guys. reason being, i play in very soft 5/10 games where im just not thinking of pot control on that board because the players are so bad. maybe i should start checking flops like this sometimes. ps i dont shutdown on ace hi flops obv.

I must be stupid, but I really don't get this. We have freaking kings and check to the guy 3 times! How can you possible read anything out of this? Sure, he could have JJ or 77 (maybe AQ), but if this is an aggressive opponent I feel you're just asking to get bluffed out of the pot.
I really don't see what's wrong with b/f the turn. You're calling the bet anyway, might as well just bet it and get a more reliable read.
