Re: 200NL | I get 4bet holding aces :)
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Obviously if I'm calling it's not for set value. It's because I think I have the best hand and I think villain either will shut down if his 4 bet is called or if I know he will make a spewy cbet if I call his 4 bet. [/ QUOTE ] seems like more reason to push or fold, no? i dont care what the reasoning is, calling a 4bet for that much of your stack with TT is terrible. [/ QUOTE ] Why would it make me want to push/fold? I said I'd call with TT/JJ/QQ if he was the type of player who would give up with air if his 4 bet was called. OR if he was the type of player who would cbet any flop with most of his range. I probably wouldn't call with TT in that spot much anyways, but I can see there being merit to calling. Saying it's terrible without any real logic is well .. terrible. |

if you 3bet a lot then shove, otherwise call. it doesnt matter if you will bluff shove here or not, he will determine whether or not to call a shove by your 3bet frequency.

Re: 200NL | I get 4bet holding aces :)
jigsaws - i feel like this is a pretty standard call here given stack sizes, unless you have a history of 4 betting with the villain.
The 4 bet he makes is only 1/5 his stack and it looks like he is thinking he is trying to re steal. with that said. i would take a flop, watch him cbet and almost always shove over his cbet. i think 5 betting vs any competent thinking villain here is killing ur action 100% of the time, unless he has KK (which you can almost always stack him with on the flop anyways) |

Re: 200NL | I get 4bet holding aces :)
Why isn't calling going to kill our action again?
Seriously, calling doesn't disguise our hand at all. Oh, and if you are getting 4-bet smallish a lot then you should probably be shoving a lot of hands, anyways. Don't see what the problem is. No one folds QQ+ the way the games are nowadays, and most people give up once their 4-bet bluff fails as well. |

[/ QUOTE ] I think any reasonable villan can put you on a wide calling range if he is making this small of a 4 bet, and therefor it shouldnt kill his tendency to cbet, or our action. if i am villain and you call my small 4 bet (which i wouldnt make btw) i could easily put you on a range of any PP and QJs+. |
