[ QUOTE ]
Can anybody tell what the first T was for? Is dunking illegal at that level? [/ QUOTE ] Dunks are legal. It looks like he was probably being flagged for a delay of game. He carried the ball with him after the dunk instead of letting the other team get the ball. BTW, here's a second angle of the incident. You can see here that Mayo was pushed by an opponent, which led to the first incident. You can see the ref's legs, but still can't quite see what happened. http://youtube.com/watch?v=qkt4YdLdX...ed&search= |

well that angle makes it seem that Mayo got his second techincal because he brushed agianst an official when he was looking in a different direction on his way back to his teammates.
and this angle certainly seems to indicate there was some contact, but it to me looks as though Mayo is going over to the official, the official steps in front of Mayo and dives gloriously. Here's the official's account: http://media.graytvinc.com/documents/wsaz_OJ_lazo.pdf Everythign the official written may actually be true, but it's horribly disappointing all the same, because, by my count, the official took the proper course of action to AVOID confrontation in each and every step. It's apparent to me that the official had no desire to avoid confrontation - quite the contrary. Actually, googling OJ Mayo brought up an interesting 'conspiracy theory' link: http://www.truehoop.com/2007-draft-7...n-oj-mayo.html |

This video makes it look like he pushed the ref, so maybe I was wrong, although the ref still looks like he took a page out of european soccer. It just seems so impossible that a guy non-chalantly walking forward who just kind of extends his arm could send the ref crashing to the ground like a ton of bricks there. This is some small guard, not shaq.
