Re: DID HE MUCK?!
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] First turns A9 second turns AJ. ... .... K7 mucks again [/ QUOTE ] "turns"..."shows" ????? Did he table his hand? Put it face up on the felt? [/ QUOTE ] He showed both times the hand then throw the cards face down . Dealer then proceeds to give the pot to the other player, considering him the only one left in the pot. |

Re: DID HE MUCK?!
[ QUOTE ]
No, he didn't muck. He called and his cards were turned over. But was he pissed when the straight hit, or was he pissed before that becuase you slow rolled him? As soon as he called your all-in you should have turned your cards over for him to see. I know that'd piss me off. [/ QUOTE ] Why would that piss you off? I never show my cards when I'm all in unless the other player shows the same hand as mine and I want to be friendly. If I lose I just muck and I don't give any one more information. This isn't a tourney where it's required to show your cards - at least not here in LA. There are probably some places where casinos do require you to show your all in hands - in fact now that I'm thinking about it I think Morango requires it. But in that case the dealer wouldn't deal until the hands were tabled. |

[/ QUOTE ] The question was not whether he showed, it was whether he tabled the cards - meaning he turned both cards face up and laid them on the table. If he did then he should have been awrded his half. Showing simply means he let the players near him (or any player really) see the cards before he mucked them. |

Re: DID HE MUCK?!

[ QUOTE ] And far as I know, that's ok (in most rooms). I almost prefer it since there's always that 1:100 chance my opponent will muck a winner. [/ QUOTE ] I've won at least 3 pots (all large) to morons that mucked the winning hand. Not sure if that's 1:100, but it's enough that I don't care if they slow roll. AB [/ QUOTE ] How do you know what he had since he mucked them? Did he show them to another player first? Can we find him and invite him to a game? |

It's my understanding that you're only required to turn your cards up when all-in during a tournament and that this rule does not apply to cash games. |

ANd the dealer scooped them up without hesitation. he said "but..I had the best hand!" LOLOLOL (Imperial palace, LV) In another, another player asked to see both hands. I has A8. Flopped a pair of aces, and rivered an 8 for 2 pair. When I tabled my hand I said "I rivered an 8" (I had assumed the villain had a better ace). She mucked. The dealer showed she had pocket aces, for a set of aces. Everyone was befuddled. Villain said "I thought you made a full house on the river". WTF??!@? The Bike, 4/8 lolz AB |
