Re: ***OFFICIAL*** LOST Season 3 Episode 16 Discussion -spoiler free-
[ QUOTE ]
Isn't it entirely possible that Michael and Walt could have been told to boat a specific direction because then they would meet up with a sub that could take them out? Ray [/ QUOTE ] Thankfully at least one viewer on this forum watches with his brain. I'm staggered at the amount of people who claim to be fans, take the time to post on message boards, and write things like, "Wait, didn't Michael just sail in one direction? That'll do it. Also, can't Desmond get off the island?" Please stop and just imagine this possibility in a future explainer episode: Michael: We're finally going home, son! Walt: Great! I'm like 19 now! Michael: Shh. Hey, what's that? Submarine dude: Get in the sub, idiots. Back to camp for you. Michael: I shot those two chicks for this? Damn. Perhaps it won't go down exactly like that, but it's beyond silly to assume that Michael and Walt are currently back home having cocoa and saying things like: Walt: Dad, remember that island we crashed on? Michael: Island... no, not really -- wait, yeah, I think so. Walt: Well I've got all sorts of whack magic powers out there, plus I control polar bears, plus I appear in visions and speak backwards. It's dope. Michael: Eat your broccoli. |

[ QUOTE ] I didn't know that they were trying to get off the island? [/ QUOTE ] Not only that, but we don't have any proof that leaving the island is even possible. [/ QUOTE ] It is widely assumed that Eithan and Richard were on the island before LEAVING THE ISLAND to recruit Claire. Also we saw a video of Richard with Claire's sister off the island, although that could've been faked I guess. Michael and Walt clearly went somewhere. While we're not sure that they got to where they wanted, they don't appear to be on the island. |
