I'm sure there are others out there, but that's the one I remember (I had a brief love affair with guitar like 10 years ago). Tab for pretty much any song you could want.

Also, your fingers will hurt like a bitch for the first couple weeks (especially with acoustic) but after that you'll build up calluses (sp?) and it won't be so bad.

1) Get a guitar teacher to teach you proper fingering and technique, preferably one who can teach classical and jazz
2) Learn how to read music if you don't already know how to do so. See step 1
3) AVOID RELYING ON TAB AT ALL COSTS

Whats with all the hate on Tabs? Its not like the OP is going to make a career out of music. Tabs can be fine for the casual guitarist.

At all costs? TAB is critical for picking up a guitar and learning some standards quickly. The more fun you have in the beginning, the more you'll keep playing.

Btw, OP - Aunt and Grandma trip report?

Tab is a musical notation specifically for the guitar and the not so musically inclined.

This is a very good thing. Learn 3 chords in open position; G, C, D. Now you know half the songs you would ever want to learn anyway. Now learn to Boom-chuck those chords, wherein you strike the bass note for the chord and then strum the rest, 2 downstrokes. Learn to do this while counting, Boom (1), Chuck (2), Boom (3), Chuck (4,) Boom (1) Chuck (2) ad nauseum. Now change chords on every 1 count. Let us know how you are doing in a month or so. Ps don't pick your calluses, tjhey are your friends.
