If I am villain, I am putting Hero on a hand that gives me a ton of FE if I choose to use it.

I guess I should explain a bit more.
Hero's preflop raise indicates a hand that could have hit this flop pretty hard. But, if Hero has a strong, made hand here, with two players left to act behind him, doesn't he protect that against this draw-heavy board, especially with 1900 in the pot? In other words, Hero does not have AK, KQ, AA, KK, QQ, or 88. What does that leave him with? Mediocre pocket pairs or a flush draw, or maybe an AQ, AJ, or AT trying to make a pathetic stab at the pot. |

that 600 bet looks so weak, with that board, I bet bigger when I flop a set. You're just asking for someone to play at that you.

[ QUOTE ]
What is villian putting hero on given Hero's betting sequence? [/ QUOTE ] Preflop, any fairly standard raising hand. I think 77 would be right near the bottom of Hero's range for Villain, plus any 2 high cards. On the flop, with that weak bet, I don't think Hero defines his hand much other than making a weak stab at the pot. I don't think he's screaming strength by betting weak here. A moderately strong hand would probably fire hard with the 2-suited flop and the variety of possible high straight draws. A very strong hand like a flopped set would probably bet harder just to make it pricey to chase a flush draws. So I think here, as Villain, Hero is just basically trying to take it down cheaply. I'd think a whiffed AQ/AJ or any non-set pair less than KK would be Hero's most likely range. Hero could also be on the flush draw with the weak bet, trying to give himself good odds to chase. |
