i dont see how limping with k 9 in position is a bad play in a short handed game

limping in a short handed game is generally bad, especially with a hand like k9suited

but head to small stakes and let them tell you that

I'm pushing it in here every time. If I wouldn't, then I would fold. Calling is, by far, the worst option, since on a blank turn you will probably have to fold a 300-350 bet with 850 left, without ever knowing whether you folded against a diamondraw or whatever. Just push the flop and make it easy on yourself, hell he is getting to call 840 to win just a little more than 1k, he'll probaly even have to fold the nutflush draw here if he's looking at the math, he can't count the A as an out in this case. (And that's what he deserves if he checkraised with A-flushdraw instead of betting-3betting for folding equity against a lot of hands.)

Sure you'll be running into twopair/sets a lot of the times, but if you're sure that's what he has, well of course then you can call just to hit turn and then give up, but I don't like that one bit because of the aforementioned reasons. With larger stacks there is a whole other deal, but with these stacks, I just ship it in.

As played, you just have to fold turn.
