[ QUOTE ]
Making out is anything less than ejaculation of some sort. [/ QUOTE ] Clark, I don't think you're factoring in the age of the people involved here. Younger girls (college age) tend to have a more structured level of that type of thing than older women, IMO. It's not as much of an all or nothing thing. Think back to high school, or whenever this type of activity entered your life. Making out with a girl, and making out with a girl who had her shirt off were leagues apart. Thus, "hooking up" became that vague level between kissing/making out and actaully closing the deal. |

A friend of mine and I were arguing about this very thing just the other day. Hooking up is any physical contact beyond making out excluding sex. Sex is [censored] or whatever other term you want to use.

wtf?? making out to me and my friends and everyone I've ever discussed making out with means passionate french kissing. (as a side note, the term "french kissing" seems really stupid.)
that, or my friends think I'm getting way more action than I really am. |

I always took it to mean sex, but after reading lots of OOT I now take it to mean any interaction with a girl including holding hands or having a girl brush up against your shoulder. I still only use it to refer to sex.

See, I think "makinig out" is the vague level between kissing/feeling up and closing the deal. [/ QUOTE ] So if genitals somehow become involved or nakedness occurs, but intercourse doesn't take place, it's "making out?" Maybe these definitions change with time or where you grew up, but if someone tells me they "made out with a chick," I take that as they kissed here alot and maybe felt a boob. If they say they "hooked up," I take that as meaning there was a significant amount of something fun, but no intercourse. |

depends how much you get and how often -
my friends that [censored] a lot of hos will say that they hooked up when they [censored] them and will say something to the effect of "she sucked my dick" if thats what happened my friends that dont have sex a lot call pretty much anything hooking up; case in point: friend that is a girl and virgin (18 years old) will say that she hooked up with someone if she so much as kisses them as for me, i don't really use the term; i'm usually asked like this: "So you got with xxxx last weekend?" "yeah but I didn't [censored] her" "oh damn" |
