I'm folding on the river. you got check-raised when the ace came up. On the other hand, it's a pretty big pot, so I can't criticize calling. I think you're beat more often than not, though. |

Raise this PF. Withoug reads I suppose this is ok but I'm definitely not happy getting checkraised when the A hits. He either has an A or maybe was slowplaying a monster. I would usually let this go.

[ QUOTE ] raise pre-flop. The whole hand plays different from there. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah you lose more money. OP - fold the turn. [/ QUOTE ] What does that matter? |

Just as the marginal preflop play in this hand doesn't matter in comparison to the gigantic postflop error. |

Once he check raises you on the turn you're toast. Just fold, your maximum 5 outs doesn't let you call in this pot. However, in this decision you must also consider which table image you have as well as your reads on SB. LAGs sometimes tries to push you off the pot by this kind of c/r, and if you have bet/folded earlier in the session on the flop or turn I think it can make sence to call down as you did. |

Think I would have raised pf.
If he had just bet the turn I would have suspected a bluff, but with the c/r I think this is the real thing. It hurts, but without reads I probably call down anyway. jessie |

the noreads line really helps I think i would fold more often than call down in that spot. You can get to 2 pair on the river, but i guess the outs are not that clean here, since AK is very likely holding for the villain. And i doubt, that there would be a lot of "representing the ACE" moves at these limits, so i kinda tend to believe that villain has at least A in his hand. |

Here's yesterday's thread on this very subject. The sitch is slightly different in your hand, but no less worrisome.
