Am I the only one who likes a river call here? I think a donk could be taking this line with something like 88.

[/ QUOTE ]

that never actually happens imo. i rarely see people donk around with midpairs on a board like this.

if ur sample on him is only 200 hands, I woudlnt say that he is def passive, what have you noticed from him for the time he has been at your table? I think I might call here, maybe that is bad?

I'd raise turn to like 35 or 40 for a cheap show down.

this isn't limit. its not like hes going to call with a gutshot and let you check it down...if you get called hes beating you.

I dunno, his line really doesn't look like a ten to me. He's obviously a donk by his stats, and the vast majority of donks are going to go for a checkraise with a ten here rather than take a weird line like this. When he donks the turn for half-pot I really feel like he has a weakish pocket pair and wants to see where he is cheaply. I don't think it's impossible that he might figure out that he's beat when we call the turn, but decide to try to bluff when the ace falls.

Also, I think a turn raise is really bad here. He's never folding a better hand, rarely calling with a worse one, and if we are ahead, he has virtually no outs to beat us, so it's not like we need to protect.

clever didnt you have a lot more posts?

also, donks will c/c c/c lead river a LOT with big hands. they don't raise because they dont want you to fold, then they donk the river because they dont want you to check behind.

Nope, you might be thinking of SomethingClever?

Agreed, but I see the c/c c/c donk line with monsters a lot more than the c/c donk donk line. I'm not saying he can't have a ten here, but I think KK is good often enough.

oh right, i got the turn action wrong in my last post. i think your points are a lot more valid now, but i still think its a fold. i just dont see that enough for me to wanna call the river bet.

and yes, i was thinking of somethingclever
