Does it really count as playing back at him if you flop top two?

So everyone advises donking into the PF 3better? Is this something you all do often? With what ranges are you making these bets? Are those ranges well balanced or always with strong holdings?

I'm not completely sold on this line but I'd like to hear some more input.

OP's question was how to get villain's stack. If he wants to do that out of position, then his best line is to bet out hard to act like he doesn't want a call. AK and AA will then raise to "see where he's at." Then hero can push and AK will fold, but AA might call.

But the whole notion of even playing this dominated hand OOP heads up in a reraised pot is bad from the preflop call. Moreover, wanting to play for stacks with only 2-pair is semi-suicidal IMO, too, since the only hands villain will gladly stack off with are QQ and KK, both of which form a major part of his reraising range.

So, if he insists on playing a big reraised pot OOP with an easily dominated hand, and if he further wants to play top 2-pair for stacks, then his best line is to bet out hard on the flop and expect QQ-AA and AK to raise him.

Ok I have a hard time believing he's threebetting you enough to justify calling pre here, but we'll pretend he is.

Your best play is to c/r or c/c. I think leading sucks because the majority of the ev in your play here is picking up his auto-36/fold that he makes with any hand that missed the flop. I doubt he's just going to shove 99 or AT if you lead out.

On a fairly drawless board such as this, i actually don't mind a c/c.

albert, AK and AA aren't folding here no matter what we do. If we lead its because our intention is to induce a shove from an ace high, gutshot, second pair type hand.

OP said he haven't fight back before so vilain should not put him on a wide range here. AK is folding to a c/rai if vilain is competent because he would call only for bluff catching/chop. AA could call or fold to a c/rai given the board, it's more related to history and vilain metagame than anything else. So far vilain has no reason to not "trust" the betting patterns of OP therefore he can really fold AA here.

I agree 100% with you about the c/c line. I guess you c/c flop, check turn and lead river if vilain check behind turn and the board is not too ugly at this point ? Which turn will induce a lead from you ?

You should say "WOOT, TOP2! AA NO GOOD." then shove.
