Yeah me neither. boards with 4 to a straight are still kind of a mystery to me; this one just kinda made sense, and thankfully I was right. I definitely don't think it's the right play all the time though.

You probably would have got the same result had you checked or bet the turn . I also think there is little difference in your overall expectation of this play with either move .
