I like the flop raise, because there's two other people in the pot, and you have an overpair. You want to charge the button for drawing if he is. If you just flat call, you are giving him ok odds to call with a straight draw or even overs. It' also going to tell you where you stand in the hand. There's no reads that you posted on the button, but his line looks really really strong if he calls here. He flat called preflop, and if he flat calls our raise on flop, I'm done with the hand here. I don't care what he got, but unless turn is a T, I'm not putting anymore money into this pot. Which is basically the reason I advocate folding on turn. Yes, you could now be beating 98, but I think homeboy shows up here with a set/bigger overpair a lot more often than he does with 98. Good fold.
