at first i was like ZOMG shove, but i thought about it for a second while i was brushing my teeth, and shoving folds out everything we're crushing and lets villain play perfectly against us. Call turn, and pray to fill up on river.

But results are up so my post is worthless.

i think shove is pretty terrible. it's between call and fold, IMO. but there's enough chance you're good and you have enough equity when you're not to call, given implied odds. But I might fold to a shove this deep. He'd have to worry about you having the nuts...

[/ QUOTE ]

Depending on how OP has been playing he's actually probably not too worried about OP having the nuts, since KQ is anything but an automatic raise UTG in a straddled pot... however, given the action he could easily put him on AK/AQ and be raising everything worse for value, especially since he's stuck and doesnt' want to get "sucked out on again."

I'd probably just call turn then close my eyes and call any river that doesn't help AK, since that's your most likely hand in Villain's mind. If it does and he's still betting... no clue what I'd do. Prolly still call.

Far as his huge 3-bet being the nuts, no, not at all. Like I said, he could be raising for value vs AK or raising anything pair + draw to put pressure on you since you've seriously underrepresented your hand.

As played I can't see myself laying this down here, just call and hope you fill up. You've surely got some decent implied odds as you're very deep and can maybe felt him with position. At the turn you're 22%. Say a 7 hits, is he capable of folding to a raise? I doubt it. And his reraise range is larger than KQ anyway if he's annoyed about what's happened before.

As for the flop, I would bet here. You have position and the best hand. He's Laggy and you want to build that pot.

Shoving is retarded. We only get called by straights and very rare undersets. Call turn call river is the play by far IMO. And I don't think its call blank rivers, I think its call any river. If the 4 straight gets there and he doesn't have it he's definitely firing, so I don't see how we can fold any river.
