How common are deals / running it 2/3 times in cash games?

Just curious how common it is for casinos to allow players to make deals in cash games -- like running it twice or three times, or other deals... It's commonplace in the local cardroom where I play, but a friend of mine says that most casinos do not allow it.

Any experiences?
