How common are deals / running it 2/3 times in cash games?

Just curious how common it is for casinos to allow players to make deals in cash games -- like running it twice or three times, or other deals... It's commonplace in the local cardroom where I play, but a friend of mine says that most casinos do not allow it.

Any experiences?

Not very common unless it's a high limit game. I'm not aware of any room in Vegas that will run it twice unless it's high limit.

The only thing I have ever seen at a lower limit game was me and another player ai, top set vs oesfd. He asked if I just wanted to play for the middle and not our stacks behind when we got it all in. I dont really think this was allowed but nobody griped. Any similiar stories?

I actually think he may have been asking me if I wanted to run it twice but was ignorant to the term.

They were letting us run it twice in the small PLO games during the WSOP. Dunno if the dealers were supposed to let us but since the players were running the non-holdem games due to dealer inexperience, if we wanted to run it twice, we were running it twice.

More common is players agreeing to check it down. I suppose chopping would also count as a player deal.

how much action are you getting on your money for running it a 3rd time if your ahead?

That's got to be atleast 2.5-1 right?

In Tunica at the Gold Strike they won't let you run it 2 or 3 times. When someone was asking about it the dealer said it would void a BB jackpot.

This is not allowed at Canterbury, but the limits there only up to 30/60.

The only reason I need to hate BB jackpots is they take an extra $1 out of each pot that I'm not likely to recoup.

I've never played in a casino (LV, Miss, WI, IL, IN) that allowed you to run it twice. I don't play high limits (mostly 1-2 & 2-5NL).

I know intention is to limit variance, but at the limits I play I think it's ridiculous to run it twice. Variance is part of the game (and hope to be in front more often than not when the $$ gets in, so long term I should be good).

Is there an etiquette to running it twice (where it's permitted)? In other words is it similar to chopping where you either always do it or never?

Never seen anyone run it twice in my local cardrooms....don't know if it's allowed or not, though.
