Default Re: All-In Method

I would see more than just one problem with this kinda "method".
1st: Nobody will call that. Therefore one would only get the blinds. Since an occurance of the top ten hands would not be too frequently one would loose overall in this instance because of the blinds one would have to put up oneself.
2nd: Somebody will call. In this instance the opponent will think that he has a fair chance of winning, meaning he probably has a hand that is about as good as yours. There it would come close to a coinflip sitution. In this case if you aren't God that you would be beyond probabilities and odds or feeling like Albert Schweitzer and wanting to donate your dough ...

I can't see any good reason for playing such a kamikaze approach, but am curious about who told you that it was a valid technique.

good day

What pocket pairs should I be playing while using this method?

Where did you get this? It sounds similar to the short-staking method Ed Miller talks about in Getting Started in Hold'em, but that involves much less pushing pre-flop.

I actually heard about it from 2+2. And I do think that I was talking about the short stacked method from Ed Miller's book.

BTW, I do not go all pre-flop usually unless I have a very good hand.

I do not think this is a good idea. I believe anyone pushing any 10 hands in a cash game will lose money. With that said, if someone put a gun to my head and forced me to push all in with 10 hands of my choice, I would choose:

AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AKs, AKo, AQs, AQo, KQs, and KQo.

I believe these 10 hands would slow the cash bleeding the most.

Ok first of all you need to read ed miller's book Getting started in holdem. Second you should go to his website http://www.notedpokerauthority.com/c...stack-strategy and read the short stacking articles.

your going to be beat most of the time as everyone picks up on what your doing when they see your min buy in. Everyones going to steal your blinds. And they might just call to draw out on you. If you are going to do this you'd have to lower your range to get better results. GL
