Re: 1/2 do you play this differently?
for those advocating checking flop, since both villains checked is betting really that bad?

There is no way you can justify open limping AJ from the CO... We got called on our steal attempt and donk bet into. [/ QUOTE ]We didn't open limp- we raised over a poster and we raised to an amount that, if called, put us in a bad spot. Also, I disagree that you cannot open limp from the CO. But I know that's an unpopular stance so I won't try to argue the point. |

for those advocating checking flop, since both villains checked is betting really that bad? [/ QUOTE ]Do you mean checking the turn? I think betting the turn is only bad if you think you'll have to fold fold to a check-raise. If you don't want to call a c/r, then I say check behind and value bet or call on the river. I think it's a close decision. |

Re: 1/2 do you play this differently?
you beat a lot of hands that you were down to on the flop. all the 79, j9 hands that spiked 2p. you're still dead to draws and sets. as such, since bb smooth called flop bet, i would be inclined to check it through on the turn and call or bet the river.
