[ QUOTE ]
Anything specific for anyone? It's hard for me to imagine just working out without passion. I'm sort of [censored]-up and bring a picture of someone who royally screwed me and tape it on the wall when doing deadlifts/squats and it really helps me lift more/get mad/not think about any sort of aches or pains. [/ QUOTE ] Is it the guy that banged the "girl of your dreams"? But back to the topic. What motivates me is after the workout. If I can look in the mirror and know that I either lifted all the heavy stuff I planned to lift, or couldn't have tried any damn harder then I will be happy. Otherwise I'll feel uneasy. So when I'm trying to get back up for the last squat or two, I know what I need to do. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Vanity. [/ QUOTE ] I tried this and it didn't work for me. Then again, I have a girlfriend. [/ QUOTE ] Sorry. I'm in love with myself. [/ QUOTE ] who isn't in some way, but............ speaking from old guy experience here, lol, vanity will run out. it will run out when you don't think you have to look great to feel good about yourself and/or get laid. complacency creeps in for nearly everyone without better motivation than looks. i used to cycle and set "looks" goals and get there and then 4 months later not ever let myself go per se, but def. be a bunch softer and then do it again. get in a long term secure relationship and get busy with a bunch of other things and see if vanity still gets you to eat right and w.o daily. it didn't for me, at least not consistently, but once health and wellness kicked in it has not been a problem. plus a bit of vanity thrown in for good measure. good luck. J. |
