Yes.

The most important part I read was that it was the third hand, which means you really don't know anything about how this person plays.

I know for a fact (from personal experience) that you can play like a complete donk, calling very weak pairs in spots like this, and be profitable up through the 20s.

Sharkscope is a good tool, but you just can't put tons of faith in good stats at low levels. They're too easy to beat without having to think even as far as "gee, I wonder if he has a 5 there". If the thought process even gets that far, the answer is usually going to be "nah, he doesn't have a 5. my pair is good" or "oh well, I guess if he does he gets a big pot".

Big bluffs are just not going to work often enough at that level to make them worthwhile. As far as I've been able to tell (and this seems to be especially true at the lower stakes), the most common mistake players make is bluffing too much in bad spots. So it wouldn't be at all surprising for somebody whose mistake is that they call too much to show a profit.

Again, I speak from personal experience here. I made a profit all the way up through $20s calling *way* too much. I was profitable (not hugely profitable, but with a respectable 5-6% ROI) because I made hero calls against bluffs like yours with weak holdings, and made them quite often.

So...

Good luck finding somebody at the $6 level who will fold even 22 here.

Thank you all for the responses. None of these responses have shocked me, cuz I didn't like the play really all that much myself. As ChicagoRy has stated, whatever he calls on the turn he should call on the river. I agree.

Also as stated above, I agree 100% with the fact that big bluffs like this are not necessary at the $6 level. This is actually very very unlike me to be honest.

Anyways, the bluff did work, that's kind of why I was confused and posted this hand (since someone with solid stats found a fold here). If villain would have called and showed AJ or somethin, I probably just would have laughed at my awful attempt and moved on with life, not posting this hand. And just to clarify, posting this hand and now stating it worked is NOT meant as a brag, because that'd be a pretty awful brag. Im just still wondering why this worked and what he does call turn and fold river with.
