Maybe it's just me but if I hit ANY part of this flop I'm shoving over BB's c-bet. Think about how you'd play a normal ace or a diamond draw in a 3-bet pot and go from there.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd have to check PT, but I don't think I call KQdd for a 3-bet

If I have AK here, and I didn't shove pre, I'm only losing to AA and TT ( if he 3-bet pre ), so I don't think flat calling flop is bad since I'm most likely WA and never WB ... I'm not afraid of protecting against diamond draws for the same reason I don't call KQdd to a 3-bet pre

So, to a thinking player, maybe this really is a terrible bluff? But for up to NL200 this has some EV?

This situation happened recently, and I was pretty sure villain had KK ... so the A plus the combination of diamonds gave me a great board to bluff on

So may we should ignore "trying to represent a diamond draw" part and just ask which line is better to bluff

why the hell would you float trying to rep a diamond draw?

do you realize why this is obv unprofitable?

[/ QUOTE ]

i think he means hes floating trying to represent an ace, and being able to use the diamond as an out.

People don't fold KK....

Hell... what am I talking about?

People don't fold 88....

Putting someone on KK and trying to bluff them is extremely -EV.

but, your second bluff line will only work against a thinking player, so if you wanna use one of these in SSNL, use the first one.

1st hand is not, a diamond draw shoves the flop. that doesnt mean a bluff wont work though
2nd uhhh... i guess line 1 is better, and both coudl work.
