Re: In the midst of a 500 buy-in downswing
[ QUOTE ]
Have you added any tables or increased multitasking since you got more confident? If you play the same opponents a lot, have the better ones adjusted to you now that they know your game? SNGwiz will only help if you get the calling ranges right. Are you paying attention to your opponents and adjusting properly to their calling ranges? [/ QUOTE ] I was 4 tabling, added 2, ran completely dry (didnt make money didnt lose money) so Im back down to 4 for the time being. I feel like Im putting the regulars on the right ranges. I adjust to theirs as needed. They probably do the same for me. I think im putting other opponents on the right tanges in SNGwiz, but I am going to go back and check just to make sure. [ QUOTE ] Do you loosen their calling ranges adequately when you've been pushing a lot in certain spots? [/ QUOTE ] I think this is a leak. Thanks for bringing it up. |

Re: In the midst of a 500 buy-in downswing
Cool.
Try the occasional session with just one or two tables and really focus on your opponents, their betting patterns, what they're calling raises with in the early levels, how they tighten and loosen at different times (even if they don't know why or how, most players make some adjustment for the bubble but plenty of others don't), which ones understand correct push/fold strategy and which ones don't, how the SB/BB pairings are adjusting their calling ranges to each other and their button, etc etc. If you give yourself a chance to practice these things when you don't have too much else to think about, you'll get quicker and more accurate at making the reads when you're not focusing 100% on one set of opponents. |
