Will the Da Vinci Code movie top Titanic?

No movie will ever rival Titanic again in terms of box office because the industry has fundamentally changed. Titanic was released right before the internet bootlegging and DVD technology became huge, two factors which have significantly decreased movie gross.

Also, unless all the females 12-50 suddenly gets thier boats floated by Tom Hanks looking for Jesus, it's not going to be close.

Anyone have any better suggestions for this role? A bumbling version of Harrison Ford maybe (ala Sean Connery in the last Indiana Jones).

everyone said king kong was going to shatter titanic and it hasn't even come close, hell for awhile they were nervous it wasn't going to cover their budget...which is silly b/c it was going to.

With absolutely no intelligent or wise analysis, NO.

Just common sense really, just because it was an extremely popular book, doesnt mean it will translate to a movie. Teenage girls rocked the Titanic box office, they wont do that for this.

I think Russell Crowe could have been good. He fits the description fairly well. Maybe Ralph Fiennes (sp?)
