[ QUOTE ]
PF it depends on the opponent and position If it looks like a possible blind war, re-raise away. If are out of position, re-raise almost always. If it is a LAG and you are in position, call, try to stack him when he hits part of the board or bluffs with air. If it is a TAG and you are in position, reraise, you won't get much money in on the flop unless you are behind. Get your money in against a TAG while you are surely ahead. If it is a rock and you are in position, call or re-raise. Call because you can stack him if the board goes small trash and he has a broadway OP to the board. Re-raise because you may not get any money after the flop unless he hits a set. Depends on how much of a nit/rock he is. That is my thoughts on it. [/ QUOTE ] thank you! |

I usualy always reraise AA. Sometimes I don`t is when I have position on some hyperaggro Tag or against medium stacks who are calling stations postflop, but fold to 3bets preflop.

I always re-raise in micros because I'm also 3betting lesser holdings so my opponents usually give me action if they see me 3bet with worse hands. Please avoid FPS, aggression is the best ingredient at micro stakes.

I have to say, I may have misread the intent of the original post. I was answering the "What if my raise with AA gets 3-bet?", I don't advocate FPS at micro, but when considering to 4 bet. I think I will always at least 3bet with it because I have started 3betting light. If I am oop, I am 4betting/push pre-flop, but if I am 3bet preflop, I may call against certain opponents when I have position on them. Sorry for misreading the original post. My points on position are still valid, but put them in the lightof holding AA that you raised with having been 3-bet, what do you plan to do. Now, if it is already 3bet preflop before it gets to me, I need to thank God, then 4bet/push because somebody will call and the pot is already gonna be a good size.

Calling with AA preflop is like putting a big fat sign 'I'm a donkey, please stack me'. And its not even close. If you ever feel a need to call preflop with AA, there is something seriously wrong with your game.

[/ QUOTE ] for microstakes, I agree, but mixing up your play vs. players that you have a lot of history with might be good for deception at higher levels of play. |
