I almost never fold AJ at BB100. The blinds are too valuable.

So would you raise 76? I don't see too much difference as any hand can win the blinds. TBTH the fact that you have AJ is meaningless. If it is +EV to make it t250 w/ AJ then you can do it with a ton of hands.

Tying in with Shillx said you better be calling some reshoves or opening wider.

Yes, why raise any hands ever based on rank. Good point.

Are you saying you have no showdown value with AJ? This makes no sense. People are giant calling stations. I flop TP with AJ at BB100 against one or two villians I'm probably going broke. If I take the blinds it was worth sticking my neck out a little. Also people start to loosen up at BB100, so you have more stacking chances and if you do get called it's not always by a hand that crushes you.

I don't understand what you or Shillx are saying to be honest. And yeah I'm calling *some* reshoves. I don't know what world you guys are playing in where reshoves happen a lot more than calls. But on the weekends I generally play calls are the order of the day, and lots of em.

Suzzer,
When you win the pot you will win it without showdown most of the time.
Because of this you can either play a very wide ranges of hands profitably or you can only play hands which you are willing to go to showdown with enough (ie call AIPF).

People float the flop with a weak ace then check it down all the time. People call you down with middle pair all the time. People call with KJ or A7 and you stack them all the time. People call with draws then check it down all the time.

Better starting cards = better chance of winning the hand. If everyone either reshoved or folded you guys would have more of a point. But they don't.

Yeah, I'm with Suzzer on this one. I don't know how you're comparing AJ to 75 in this spot. I do the same pf and check/fold or make the same c-bet depending on villain.

I understand what pudge and shillx are getting at, if you're going to be opening and then folding to a push, or raising then cbetting to win the pot most of the time, your hand value becomes LESS important, since you play them all basically the same way. Thus you can be opening wider if you feel this is your situation.

Also, if you think people are going to be shoving on you and you dont want to be calling, opening way tighter is in order, since you expect them to be shoving a ton (which you dont plan on calling with a marginal hand).

Correct me if im way off pudge and shillx.

Hand seems good.
