I should clarify: I meant to say that the pre-flop, IMO, was atrocious. After the flop its a whole new ball-game, but part of the reason post-flop is so difficult to play correctly is how you played before the flop. I think you lose way too much being OOP the entire hand to an aggressive, likely decent, player to ever make up for any edge you had preflop. A3s is not a big favorite against very many hands, and in most cases is nearly a coin-flip against hands you are beating pre-flop. Losing the advantage of position is more than making your occassional preflop advantage totally non-existant IMO, and making an extremely marginal hand extremely difficult to win with.
