The 360 is MUCH louder playing games than when playing HD-DVDs. It's quieter than my DirecTV box (which has an internal hard drive) when playing HD-DVDs.

PS, it's no longer the cheapest way to get HD-DVDs. There are $300 HD-DVD players now: see http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-HD-D1-HD-D...3179&sr=1-6
