Actually, I'm planning to give my knees a few days to heal up and then probably do squats 3 days a week after that (fewer reps per day though). |

I've always been a proponant of the 5-day split. I guess it depends what you're training for. Some of the russian power routines revolve around several days of squats a week.

In the end it's really all about listening to your body. I've found I respond best to once a week.

I used to do squats 1x per week, now do them 3x per week. It all depends on your body and the set/rep/weight scheme you go with.
