I think this is easily the best movie for the series. This is what the creators wanted, and this way they will be able to plan out the rest of the series and make it cohesive with a payoff for fans. I wish other shows had this much foresight...I think "The Shield" is planning on only one more season after this too. Good idea to keep the integrity of the shows.

I don't feel shorted by a 16 epiosde season compared to a 24. All I care about is quality.
I am actually a bit relieved to see they announced a cut off date.

All those actors must be getting $$$$$$$$$.

And I have been living with this fear for at least two years. How come I wasn't in the know.

Gah.... I like Lost, but how the hell will they milk this for three more years? This season has been pretty watered down and meandering already... I can't believe they'll be able to stretch this to 2010 without it getting seriously tedious and repetitive... They should have announced one more season and quit why they were still marginally ahead...

I always figured it would take anywhere from 5-7 seasons. Six seasons is really kind of insane though. I can't wait to download it all in like 3 years and watch it from beginning to end in like a week.

It almost seems worth it to wait 3 years and watch them fresh.

[/ QUOTE ]totally disagree. This season(particularly the 2nd half) has been outstanding imo.

anyone who watched alias all the way through is probably concerned that the show will drag in it's last season much the same way as alias did during season 5 in it's attempt to gain it's 100th episode and get syndicated

IF they get off the island... depending on the twists... you could do a whole season of them gettin re-acclamated to their "normal" life. That alone could provide 100 spin-offs and make ABC happy.

this would be awful.

as a fan of LOST the only thing I could imagine worse would be not finding out if they get off the island.
