All your other plays look fine.

Whoops--no they don't. Reraise the river. You're beating almost everything.

Ok so the hand: We're like 6 or 7 handed, UTG limps, CO raises, I call in BB with Q8dd, limper calls.

Flop is Kd7d3c. I bet because I've been donking all sorts of hands this session and typically just annoying people. UTG calls, CO calls.

Bet on the flop was not such a good move. You don't need me to tell you that the reason you give for betting is not sound poker logic...

[/ QUOTE ]

But I have a lot of bluff equity on this flop. On a board as broken as this where I hold the only draw, I'm putting in some sort of action whether it be check-raising or betting out. It's way too easy for this flop to completely miss both of my opponents.

[/ QUOTE ]

At reasoning like this, all I can do is roll my antennae.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wtf are you talking about?

lol

okay lobster boy

we have a strong hand here and
a lot of equity in this pot

this is a very ragged board

look at it this way
if we are behind
we have anywhere
from 9-15 outs

if no one has anything
which is very likely with
the texture of this flop
by taking the lead
we increase our chances
of picking up the pot
someone may peel a turn
but one more brick
and one more barrel
this pot can be ours

now isnt that better
than check/calling?
which i am assuming
you are advocating

UTG has all combos of suited-connected diamonds and hands like 54s to be 3-betting this river if this is California.

[/ QUOTE ]

this is likely a spot where 3bet/fold is correct.

I don't think I could ever not 3bet this river.

Lobster, I'm all for new posters jumping in with advice and learning. But you say things like they are 100% authoritative fact and I've disagreed with your advice in every thread I've read this afternoon. I think you should consider toning down on the "confidence" in your posting style, as I think that's what people will have a problem with since the advice is not clear cut and IMO flat out wrong a lot of the time.

Justin, close river decision obv. The rest is great.

Justin, in your description of the strange guy in the CO, you never really let on if he can fold pairs. Can you explain what you were hoping to accomplish on the turn?

Bet on the flop was not such a good move. You don't need me to tell you that the reason you give for betting is not sound poker logic.

You're only getting 2-1 odds on your flop bet, which isn't good enough to bet a flush draw for value. You're not going to buy yourself a free card when acting first, and you might get raised. And if your opponents are such weak players, you don't gain any value by mixing up your play. So just check and call.

All your other plays look fine.

[/ QUOTE ]Yep. K,rag, rag is the ideal flop to take a shot at. There are 2 diamonds but since you have 2 diamonds it is highly unlikely that the 2 diamonds keeps either player around.
