Re: Maybe the single worst hand of poker ever played, $100 NL
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] If your folding this on a J high flop should you fold preflop if you would also fold 55 here? [/ QUOTE ] This is bad logic. He isn't going to overbet shove this flop into 2 players with all of his 3-betting hands. [/ QUOTE ] This is true but doesn't change the fact that unless you are willing to get QQ all in as an overpair you shouldn't put 1/7 of your stack in preflop, especially when you do not close the betting and a UTG raiser still has to react to a 3bet. Playing for set value has -EV and what are you doing if he bets 2/3 pot here instead of shoving? What are you doing if UTG folds PF, the pot is heads up and the raiser checks? You said yourself he will put your cold call on a narrow range so he may think you have TT+ or AQ+ and not fear draws so much and check AA to you. I don't think you have enough room to play poker postflop or "find out where you're at". You should make a decision preflop to fold or be prepared to felt this hand as an overpair. |
