Re: $60; A couple bubble hands as 2nd big stack
In my observation, people are generally telling the truth.
I think I shove hand 1, fold hand 2 given stacks, comment and a shorty w/ 3 BB left |

[ QUOTE ]
do you fold or flat call that raise most of the time? if he's very agg. in position that's probably a fold from me (around 80/20, but i am sticky when it comes to actual situation some times), alas against a mod. agressive player i guess you could flatcall and lead out on a good flop, folding to a reshove (you still have around 4k left if you do that and are in no danger at all to bust and you're most likely gonna be HU with him anyway so you need to start chipping away). is this such a bad line? [/ QUOTE ] I'm not sure how I feel about this...it doesn't sound too bad to me. Anyone else have an opinion on this line? |

CO said, "calling if you push this time chip," "don't particuarlly want to flip for these stacks, but go ahead if you wanna" [/ QUOTE ] I fold by default, but I may call because of his chat. Typically players do not do this when they have a monster holding. Think about it. Why would I want to discourage you from pushing if I held a monster? |

Re: $60; A couple bubble hands as 2nd big stack
Hand#1 is a push, button will fold everything but AA, given the presense of the shortie.
Hand#2 is a call to cooperate against a shortie. |

If he will fold everything, but AA you should shove any two here. 1. Is really read dependent for me, but against a guy who regularly raise 3x. I probably shove because he sucks. 2. Call. |

Re: $60; A couple bubble hands as 2nd big stack
Hand 1 you made the right move, your are ahead about 70% of the time and he knows you wont risk it all with nothing. I like calling the second hand and seeing what comes. If you see a 9, double up city. If not, evaluate and maybe you still win chips.

Re: $60; A couple bubble hands as 2nd big stack
I disagree with anyone saying the hand 1 shove is correct. Even if he folds 70% and is never ahead of you going to the flop do you want to lose the 15% or so that he beats you with a worse hand? This is assuming you never see AA or KK. Why risk not making it ITM when you can easily fold and still have a very nice stack?
And as I said before and I think most are in agreement, 99 should be folded especially after this comment but I think the comment has very little to do with the actual fold. |

Re: $60; A couple bubble hands as 2nd big stack
with 4 people left you should fold every single hand except aces or kings until you are in third.
or you can go all in on the button regardless of cards. these are the only two strategies. |

Re: $60; A couple bubble hands as 2nd big stack
Your ICM for the AKs
Fold: 31% Winw/oSD: 35.6% Win @SD: 41.2% Min equity: ~36% His ICM Fold: 36.8% Lose: 29.9% Win: 47.1% Equity needed: ~40% = ~85% of the push range (referenced to 10% push) Set x = No Call % .31 < .356x + .412(1-x)*.36 x > .78 So if he is raising 50% of the time, you should push 13% of the time and he should call 11% of the time. This is a pretty clear push in a vacuum and a bad raise on his part. There are tons of factors that you need to consider but it is good on paper (he might be trapping you, he might not understand bubble dynamics and call too wide, you are still his bitch after taking this pot down, etc). The guy would have to be quite remarkable to fold AKs. |
